Israel's Condition: Israel and Ruth

• Began in the area of Jerusalem (Bethlehem)

• Suffered a great famine

• Fled God's promised land and fled God's authority and person

• Went to Gentile unbelieving land

• Forsook God while there

• They heard God's call of grace - "Come home!"

• All but 2 die in the wilderness (outside the promised land)

• Key figures had "lost hope."

• Return to the "Kinsman Redeemer"

Ruth And The Body of Christ

• Began in the area of Jerusalem (Bethlehem)

• Before Boaz Ruth was in the Wilderness
  Ruth is guided to The Field of Boaz

• Ruth pursued Boaz

• Boaz Loved Ruth

• Ruth believed Boaz and he married her and made her a part of his family

• Boaz placed Ruth under his grace, his love, and his protection
