ZEPHANIAH ("Hidden of Jehovah")

Zephaniah prophesied in the reign of Josiah of Judah, from about 635-620 BC (Whitcomb).
See 2 Kings 22:1-23:30 and 2 Chronicles 34-35.
He was probably of royal lineage (cp. 1:1 - "Hizkiah").
