2:11-12, Relation of the Day of the Lord to Unbelievers
E. Relation of the Day of the Lord to Unbelievers, 2:11-12
11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.
We spoke of verse 10 earlier. Verses 11-12 refer to those who refuse to believe in The Son of God. They are already lost and then they are placed under a "deluding influence," not to keep them from faith, but to encourage them to faith in the Man of Sin. This process will increase their judgment as they so readily accepted and "took pleasure in wickedness."

1. What group of people are the object of these verses?
2. Does God harden their hearts to prevent them from believing the Gospel?
