COMMENTARY - "Paul's Benediction," 3:20-21

A.               Paul's Benediction, 3:20-21
"
Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.  Amen."

Paul closes this chapter with a benediction (the saying of a good word) prayer. These good words point to The Father who is ABLE TO DO. We are NOT "able to do," unless HE does it through us.

And what is it the manner in which God is able to do?
        Exceedingly
        Abundantly
        Beyond all that we ask
        Beyond all that we think

How is God able to do?

According to HIS POWER that WORKS WITHIN US.

To Him be the Glory

          in the Church (His people)

In Christ Jesus (His Sacrificed Son)

                To all generations

                        Forever and ever.

"Truely" (amen).
