ADDENDUM III
MATTHEW 11:28-30: Our Lord turns to the INDIVIDUALS within the nation (recognizing the nation's growing rejection of HIM)

  1. "Come unto me ... I will give you REST"
    The REST of SALVATION
Rest of conscience for the sinner, from sin's heavy load.

  2. "Learn of me ... ye shall find REST"
    The REST of DISCIPLESHIP
Rest of mind, for saint sitting at Jesus' feet.

  3. "For my yoke is easy ... my burden light"
    The REST of SERVICE
Rest of spirit, for the servant working in yoke with Jesus.
A strenuous life of service need not be a strained life.
A yoke is for two; HE takes the heavy end!
If we walk the direction He is going, and walk at HIS pace, the yoke of service will be easy ... light.
Only if we walk another direction or at our own pace, instead of His, will the yoke be heavy and galling.
