6. RESULTS OF DIVINE JUDGMENT
   1. Separation (Gen. 3:22-24)
      1. From the tree of life.
      2. From the garden.
      3. From direct presence of and communion with God.
   2. Death
      1. Physical - process of decay and disintegration began.
      2. Spiritual - separation of soul and spirit from God; took place immediately when they sinned.
      3. Eternal - the "second death" is the result of spiritual death, unchecked and unchanged. It is eternal separation of soul and spirit from God, unless God's message is heeded and the person redeemed.
   3. The fact of sin
      1. Nature proclaims it.
      2. Human conscience acknowledges it.
      3. Human experience testifies to it.
      4. God's Word asserts it.
      5. Christ's death declares it.
